With modern LED lighting, the same quantity can cost only a fraction of a second of average labor in some estimates. This is proof of how technology can drive down the labor-time price of a good.

Why are we still spending trillions treating diseases at the end of life and almost NOTHING preventing them in the early stages or in the middle? Prevention has always been cheaper, more effective than late intervention.
I'll be honest, the cat is out of the bag. We cannot uninvent the intelligence capabilities we created, and we cannot go back to how we used to live pre-AI. We are now responsible for building the best defenses we can, just as we built those capabilities. And I believe we will.
A person's ceiling used to be a zipcode or their parents' income. That has evaporated today, we just need to teach the younger how to leverage it wisely.

The same AI systems that may help scientists design new biological tools could also lower barriers to designing harmful ones. However, just because of that, we shouldn't resort to a blanket ban on beneficial research.

If AI companies want communities to welcome their infrastructure, maybe it's time for them to share the visible abundance it creates with them.
To earn people's trust, companies need to build infrastructure RESPONSIBLY. The surrounding communities should be better off, not feel 'invaded'. We all want a good neighbor.

Longevity is often mocked as a 'billionaire obsession'. Let's remember that every major technology always begins as expensive, and with time it improves and becomes more accessible. Don't believe me? I don't believe the future will be one giant AI giving people instructions on how to live their lives every day. I imagine a world where people leverage AI to create new things, explore passions, solve our most pressing problems, and uplift humanity together.
Elon does not like being #2. Neither should any founder who has access to the same frontier model tools be available. Always push for the best.
Let me be clear, the post-AGI world is not the end of human purpose.
We need to stop treating aging and decline as a sacred law of nature and instead see them as an engineering problem. Believe me when I say there are MANY people working on it for everyone's benefit.
