SpaceX has just officially announced Starbase, Louisiana, a new $100+ billion spaceport in South Louisiana near Pecan Island. Construction starts in 2027, with the first Starship launch from the new site planned for 2029. Starbase, Louisiana will be built to support thousands of Starship flights a year. This self-sustaining spaceport will have propellant production, power generation, deep-water shipping capabilities, vehicle processing facilities, and an airport. SpaceX is committed to investing at least $100 billion and creating more than 3,000 new jobs at Starbase, Louisana hiring heavily from nearby communities and utilizing Louisiana workers’ extensive experience of building complex infrastructure in their unique environment. I planted a quick question in my video recording to see how closely it was watching and listening. You can see my CoS asking me the question in the second screenshot, it's the last chat bubble Soon enough I'll have this painful task automated away. I launched Grok Bot for 24 hours, gave it 3 jobs, and stopped treating AI like a chatbot. I had it scan live X + web data for emerging AI products, research what people were actually saying about them, filter the obvious engagement bait, compare sources and turn the strongest signals into a structured brief. At the same time, I could have separate research paths looking at competitors, code or market opportunities instead of forcing everything through one conversation. That’s the difference I underestimated. I don’t want to sit inside a chat writing another prompt every 5 minutes. I want to define the objective, give the agent access to the right tools and data, let it execute, then step back in when judgment or approval is actually needed. The old workflow was prompt → answer → copy → repeat. The workflow I’m moving toward is assign → execute → verify. Once AI stops waiting for your next message, it stops feeling like software you use and starts feeling like work you delegated.

VulcanBench is the only benchmark I know that benchmarks across effort levels, on an eval suite of 100% real engineering tasks. Getting ready to sunset eval suite 3 and eval suite 4 is almost ready to go. Here's the current leaderboard for Eval Suite 3, Grok 4.5 High is the highest scoring model still with Fable 5 Low, yes Low, right behind it. What I've been able to uncover with VulcanBench is that way too many people are running models at Max effort, thinking that buys them more accuracy, when really it just costs more and uses more tokens so takes more time. If you're still in the mode of, tell my agent to do something then go get coffee, you're probably still living in the past. You can move faster, with higher accuracy, the key is not thinking you need Max effort all the time.

Every rule moves a decision closer to the person doing the work. India needs @Starlink • 11,256 of India’s listed villages still had no 4G coverage as of May 2026. • India had 1.093 billion internet subscriptions in March 2026, but only 440.87 million were rural. Rural subscription density was 48.31 per 100 people, compared with 126.80 in urban India. • BharatNet has laid more than 850,000 route-km of fibre and made about 221,000 Gram Panchayats service-ready. Yet its Points of Presence were reported operational at only 80,472 GPs as of June 2026. The government itself says the remaining mobile gaps are caused by difficult terrain, low commercial viability and infrastructure constraints. Grok Bot looked up options, pinged me with 3 dates/times, then booked it (I just had to confirm Zocdoc on the last step). It created a calendar reminder! Mental load unlock: Moms, we often put off our own health/wellbeing. Finally! AI can help. I also had it schedule a hair appt and massage for later this month. Let's go AI! - Listed a Facebook Marketplace item and is managing the sale. I had purchased a wagon for my kids years ago that's been collecting dust. Grok Bot found the old listing, used the photos, and asked me what $$ I want to list at. It's going to manage the rest (wish me luck here). Mental load unlock: Who has time to sell their old crap? I sure don't. But AI has infinite time. Notice, none of these are work examples. I will do those in a separate thread. OpenClaw vs. Hermes vs. Grok @bot, clearly explained: All three let you set up an agent with a specific job, and it keeps its files and logins between sessions instead of starting fresh. OpenClaw and Hermes are self-hosted, so the machine can be a laptop, a VPS, or a container that someone already pays for and can log into. Grok Bot runs on a machine SpaceXAI provisions and operates. It gives one computer per account rather than one per agent. Every Bot on that account reads the same files and carries the same browser logins, so handing work between two Bots does not require a re-login or file transfer. Hermes and OpenClaw isolate agents instead, and their memory sits in plain files anyone can open and edit. Another sad factor in the whole episode was Chauvin immediately called in for an ambulance when Floyd started complaining. The ambulance was about three minutes away but when they drove by they worried for their safety because of the crowd, so they went and parked somewhere for 17 minutes. Floyd was on the ground for 9 minutes. If not for the crowd freaking out over a lawful arrest Floyd would have OD'd in the back of the ambulance and Derek Chauvin would still be eating donuts instead of prison hoodslop today.

Chauvin case is an extreme litmus test. Everyone knows his imprisonment was a flagrant injustice, but most continue with "Yes, but it was a flagrant injustice of great emotional importance to people."

I am not a coder. I don’t work with CRM or play with spreadsheets. I’m about as removed from a “workflow” in my job as a kid flying a kite. I don’t really use AI beyond a super-Google level. So when I say Grok Bot is ABSOLUTELY GAME CHANGING, I don’t mean a better search tool. I mean it has fundamentally changed how I go about everything. And it did this in just a few hours. Let me explain. During the install, it asked if I wanted to connect it to several dozen programs. I don’t use a single one of them. So I thought, “Well, I’m not gonna get a lot of use out of this.” But I kept going. Then it asked if it could connect to my Gmail. I said yes. And that’s where the jaw-dropping began. It immediately figured out my life. It saw 40,000 emails and got a pretty good picture of me. So I asked it to do my taxes. It found all the docs needed in my email and did my taxes. I asked it to find first-class award tickets to Japan. It scoured the internet and logged into my airline accounts (with permission) and found 3 tickets to Japan in first class for 60K points. It would have booked them, but I’m still not sure of the dates I need so I stopped it. I created a few agents. One gives me an hourly political update based on key topics I need for work. One is cleaning up my Gmail inbox and organizing it. One is saving me money in my taxes. One makes sure it always checks with me on key decisions (like deleting an email). It’s absolutely insane. Think about it this way: If you could hire an assistant, what would you have them do? Start there, and have fun!

I’ve started to try @bot Grok Bot and it’s awesome! It cleaned up all my 150,000 junk emails and unsubscribed to all the emails I never read. It informs me of any message from my 5 email addresses and 6 Slack Servers that requires my attention and keeps me organized. I also started to using @grok Grok Build and Grok 4.6 is awesome in every way! Elon Musk admitted he is not sure this one is possible. Musk: “This absorbs more of my mental energy than probably any other single thing. But it is so preposterously difficult that there are times where I wonder whether we can actually do this.” He does not talk like this. Mars gets a date. Robotaxis get a date. This gets a maybe. Stern: “What is so hard about it for just a normal person to understand?” His answer comes down to a single number. Musk: “In order to make a rocket fully reusable, you’ve got to basically create a rocket that can do about 4%, if not more than 4%, of its lift-off mass to orbit, which hasn’t happened before.” Four percent. Everything else standing on that pad is fuel, tank, and engine. The landing gear, the heat shield, the extra structure that survives reentry, all of it comes out of that same four. None of it can be left behind. The vehicle has to come home. Musk: “So that means you have to have basically A-pluses across the board: incredibly efficient engines, incredibly efficient structure.” Across the board is what makes this brutal. Most engineering lets you buy a weakness in one place with strength somewhere else. The margin here is thin enough that one component landing at merely excellent drops the whole vehicle below the line. Nothing carries anything. Musk: “But if full and rapid reusability can be achieved, it reduces the cost of access to orbit by a factor of 100 or more.” A hundred times cheaper turns nearly every question about space from whether into when. Telescopes, stations, factories, missions that never made it past a spreadsheet. It’s really that big of a deal.” Now put his doubt in context. Landing an orbital booster upright was considered impossible by most of the industry. He spent years being told so while boosters exploded on barges. Those landings became routine, then boring, then unwatched. Then they stopped using legs. A twenty story booster came back from the edge of space, slowed itself, and hovered next to the tower it launched from. Two arms closed around it and took its weight in midair. Nothing touched the ground. That was a headline for about a day. He has been on this side of impossible before, more than once. Doubt from him measures how hard the thing is at the start rather than how it ends. Most people never attempt anything where failure is genuinely on the table. He found the hardest problem available and made it the center of his life. That is what real ambition looks like from the inside. Not certainty. A number nobody has ever hit, and showing up to it every morning until it falls.
